Annie Oakley

August 13, 1860 – November 3, 1926

Oakley was born Phoebe Ann Mosey in Darke County, Ohio to very humble beginnings. After what most would consider a difficult childhood, Oakley eventually rose to become a Wild West international superstar. Her shooting led her to perform before royalty and other elite. Annie Oakley continues to be a major staple of popular culture & arguably the most famous markswoman.

My husband & I partnered up with my cousin Laura to do a slightly modernized Annie Oakley inspired photo shoot. Like me, Laura is a major fan of the historical figure. Annie Oakley was born & died near our hometown so there's an obvious connection to her for us.
