InBetweenBranches Celebrates 5 Years of Business
It was somewhat surreal to me when it was brought to my attention just days ago that July marks 5 years since I first developed the initial concept for & launched the InBetweenBranches shop. What started out as simply a Tumblr photo blog has grown to become a successful vintage shop & creative force through which I can release my own creative work & explore new ideas. At the time I was a Sophomore at BGSU with barely any money and even less of an idea of what I wanted to do in life other than be creative. Little did I know that working through InBetweenBranches would help teach me many of the skills I would need to be a successful business owner, provide me with much needed income, & allow me to explore & identify what it is I truly wanted to pursue in life. It was this exploratory time that I learned I'm an entrepreneur, a stylist, a creative director, a curator, a pop culturalist, and of course an artist. I realized then that I truly could carve my own lane & just do the things that I love!
I have met so many great people and been provided so many amazing opportunities as a result of the brand. Some of those personal achievements for me include curating collections in several fashion shows, having my clothes appear on TV, appearing on live TV myself, getting noticed & receiving praise from some of the people I admire most, & finally realizing that I can truly have everything I want as long as I'm prepared to put in the work. I want to offer a sincere thank you to everyone who ever donated anything to me in the hopes that it was something that I could use. Thank you to all of the models, actors, queens, dancers, creatives, and random folks that ever took part in any of my projects, trusting in me to provide an amazing result while the live process may have appeared questionable. Thank you to all of my friends, family, professors, and mentors that ever offered any advice to me; professional or otherwise. And lastly, thank you to all of the amazing customers, fans, & supporters that InBetweenBranches & myself have out there. It's you that I have to thank most because it is your support that has taught me how to support & believe in myself, thank you for these 5 years. I look forward to the future & am excited to see what it holds for myself and InBetweenBranches.
I want to leave everyone with the reminder to always dream & that when you don't consider your limitations you become limitless.
